The CeRICT corporate partnership ensures a significant potentiality of skills in the area of ​​Information Technology (IT) and application domains in which it is an enabling technology, such as Critical Infrastructures, Flexible Manufacturing Systems and application concerning human health

CeRICT is able to activate the competences of Professors, Researchers and Technicians belonging to the Institutional Partners based on specific project and research needs. These experts constitute the permanent core team of CeRICT and they can be supported and integrated from time to time by further appropriately contracted professionals.

CeRICT partners operate with their own set of vertical skills on specific topics, in a multidisciplinary cooperative perspective. The resources, technological infrastructures and skills constitute the enabling factors of the areas of activity of the CeRICT Research Units.

COMPETENCES

CeRICT's skills cover the whole range of Information Engineering. Active projects cover thematic areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Augmented, Virtual and Immersive reality, the Internet of Things (IoT), Cyber ​​Security, ultra-fast mobile networks, blockchain technologies, software engineering, Flexible Manufacturing Systems, Critical Infrastructures, the application of Optoelectronics and Nanophotonics technologies to Biotechnologies, software technologies of distributed systems, with specific emphasis on the architectural principles of interconnection networks, interprocess communication and mechanisms relating to remote invocation and remote procedure call.
Basic methodologies and algorithms are adopted to solve problems such as synchronization, coordination, data sharing, resource allocation, consistency and fault tolerance. Project topics relating to replication and concurrency control in distributed and non-distributed transactional systems are covered.
